Wheeler Varsity Bearcats Fall To South Central Varsity Satellites After Surrendering Big Seventh Inning

South Central Varsity Satellites defeated Wheeler Varsity Bearcats 7-1 on Wednesday at Wheeler High School thanks in part to four runs in the seventh inning. South Central Varsity Satellites were the first to get on the board in the first when Taye Falls scored after tagging up. South Central Varsity Satellites added one run in the third after Fischer Trosky grounded into a double play. Brody Grass earned the win for South Central Varsity Satellites. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking three. Tyler Hughes took the loss for Wheeler Varsity Bearcats. The pitcher went five innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking one. Nick Micciche led Wheeler Varsity Bearcats with one run batted in. The leadoff hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Braden Olson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Wheeler Varsity Bearcats in hits. Wheeler Varsity Bearcats had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Blake Laba and Christian Cutka led the team with two free passes each. Wheeler Varsity Bearcats turned one double play in the game. South Central Varsity Satellites tallied nine hits in the game. Wyatt Doll provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led South Central Varsity Satellites with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-4 on the day.
